Cusco, Machu Picchu, Moray, Salt WITH OVERNIGHT IN SACRED VALLEY

In this adventure 05 days visit Chinchero, Rainbow City;   Maras;   Moray, center agricultural research center and the salt mines of salt flats;   spend the night in the heart of the Sacred Valley and make a tour in the archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo;   enjoy the wonder of the World Machu Picchu and finally visit the capital of the empire of the Incas Cusco, the cathedral and its golden palace.

Itinerary

First day: Tour to Maras, Moray and Salt.

On his arrival at the airport or bus terminal of the city of Cusco, our staff will be waiting for you with a sign which bears his name, and then transported to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.   Then we go to the town of Maras through the route with very colorful landscapes and typical populations, first visit Moray, considered an agricultural research center Inca which were performed breeding experiments at different heights, the arrangement of their platforms produces one gradient of microclimates taking the center of the concentric circular terraces higher temperature and gradually decreasing outwards at lower temperatures, thus being able to simulate up to 20 different microclimates.   It is believed that Moray could have served as a model for the calculation of agricultural production not only the Urubamba Valley but also from different parts of Tahuantinsuyo.   Continuing our journey will visit the famous salt mines of Maras known by some as “salt mines” are constituted by about 3000 small wells, built on the side of the slope of the mountain “Qaqawiñay” during the dry season are filled or “water” every 3 days with salt water that comes from a natural spring located at the top of the wells so that the water evaporates, the salt contained in it will gradually solidify.   The pools are owned by locals and in the afternoon you will be transferred to the hotel of your choice in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

  • Tour to Chinchero, Moray and Salt.
  • Overnight at selected hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Second day: Tour to the Sacred Valley.

In time we will pick the hotel then drive to the town of Pisac, located 32 km from the city of Cusco, once in the place have free time to visit the colorful market and to make purchases of beautiful handicrafts and souvenirs .   We will continue our journey to Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Ollantaytambo (only city that keeps the urban design by the great Inca architects).   In the afternoon we drive to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas: Artisan Market of Pisac archaeological site of Pisac and Ollantaytambo (8hrs – 16hrs.).
  • Buffet lunch included in Urubamba.
  • Accommodation in selected hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Third day: Tour to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas.

The pick up from your hotel to take you to the station Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu, in place our guide will be waiting with him will take the bus that will take them to rise to the citadel of Machu Picchu for about 30 minutes, will have a guided tour of three hours on average and visit: The Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, The Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial.   After the tour will have free time to explore the sanctuary on their own.   In the afternoon return to Cusco by the same route of the journey.   Finally, our staff will meet and transfer to your hotel.

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Transfer from Hotel to Ollantaytambo station.
  • Travel by train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (From 7:05 a.m. to 8:27 a.m.).
  • Uploaded by bus to Machu Picchu.
  • Guided Tour Machu Picchu (about 3 hours).
  • Bus back to Aguas Calientes.
  • Return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (De 15: 48hrs – 17: 29hrs)
  • Moving the Ollantaytambo train station to your hotel in Cusco.
  • Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.

Fourth day: City tour in Cusco.

After breakfast you will have the morning free to relax.   Between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. we will be going through your hotel to start the tour, we will visit the Cathedral, Colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value, the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the fine work that the Incas performed on stone.   Continuing the tour will head to Sacsayhuaman fortress with strategic location, offering an unparalleled view of the city, in this place the Inti Raymi or “Fiesta del Sol” is held every June 24, then visit Kenko, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara, archaeological complex of religious character.

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • City tour in Cusco: The Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (09:00 hrs – 13:30 hrs..)
  • Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.

Fifth day: Farewell.

Two hours before flight departure, pick you up from your hotel and then transported to the airport, where we say goodbye and give order to our services.

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Transfer to the airport of Cusco.
