Peru Origins Of The Inca Empire

In this adventure of 08 days will visit the City of Kings, Lima;   take a flight to the capital of the empire of the Incas Cusco, visit his golden palace, colonial temples;   the Sacred Valley and the archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, enjoy the wonder of the world Machu Picchu for a short walk to Huaynapicchu, visit Maras, agricultural research center Moray and salt mines;   the Sistine Chapel of America;   The Temple of Viracocha God with different archaeological sites arriving to Puno, enjoying the world’s highest Titicaca and its floating islands of Uros, Amantani and Sillustani navigable lake.

Itinerary

First day: Welcome and City Tour in the city of Kings.

On his arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport, our staff will be waiting for you with a sign which bears his name, and then transported to the hotel.   It will be provided free time so they can enjoy our cuisine.   In the afternoon we start our tour with a stop at the smallest district of Lima, Barranco where the famous Bridge of Sighs, the Hermitage and the monument to Isabel Granada Larco “Chabuca Granda” highlights.   We arrived at Miraflores to know the Parque del Amor with a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, Pre Inca temple religious and administrative center inhabited between the III and VIII centuries AD we will walk through the park of olive trees dating from the Viceroyalty with area of ​​23 hectares. With 6 km long reach historic center doors where appreciate the Palace of Justice, the Stroll of the Naval Heroes, the French palace and colonial buildings such as the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral, the Municipal Palace, Plaza San Martin, among others.

We visited the National Museum, where you can spot a collection of gold from Peru and a selection of ceramics, metalwork and textiles of various pre-Columbian cultures.   Continuing our tour of the São Francisco Church and Convent, mainly visiting its underground crypts known as the Catacombs and then return to the hotel.

Second day: Travel by plane from Lima to Cusco City tour in Cusco.

After breakfast, our staff will perform at the hotel to transfer to the airport and to embark on plane Lima to Cusco and reach the city of Cusco our staff will be waiting for you with a sign which bears his name, and then transported the hotel of their choice.   Have a free place to rest, adjust to the altitude and take their food time.   Between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. we will be going through your hotel to start the tour, we will visit the Cathedral, Colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value, the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the fine work that the Incas performed on stone.   Continuing the tour we will go to Sacsayhuaman fortress with strategic location, offering an unparalleled view of the city, in this place the Inti Raymi or “Fiesta del Sol” is held every June 24, then visit Kenko, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara, archaeological complex of religious character.

  • Transfer to the airport in Lima.
  • Travel by plane from Lima to Cusco (1:15 pm).
  • Reception and transfer from airport to hotel in Cusco (morning).
  • City tour in Cusco: The Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (13:30 hrs – 18:30 hrs..).
  • Live Show typical dances and music of Cusco (from 19:00 hrs. To 20:00 hrs).
  • Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.

Third day: Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Aguas Calientes.

In time we will pick the hotel and then go through a paved toward the town of Pisac road, located 32 km from the city of Cusco, once in the place have free time to visit the colorful market and to make purchases of beautiful handicrafts and souvenirs.   We will continue our journey to Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Ollantaytambo (only city that keeps the urban design by the great Inca architects).   In the afternoon we board the train to Aguas Calientes.

  • Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Handicraft market of Pisac archaeological site of Pisac and Ollantaytambo (8hrs – 16hrs)
  • Buffet lunch included in Urubamba.
  • Inka Rail train ride from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (De 4:36 p.m. to 6:09 p.m.).
  • Transfer Station Hotel Aguas Calientes.
  • Overnight at hotel in Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu.

Fourth day: Tour to Machu Picchu “The Lost City of the Incas” and hike Huayna Picchu.

After breakfast at the hotel, together with the guide will have the wonderful opportunity to visit Machu Picchu, mysterious and charming considered one of the 7 wonders of the world.   At 11am, the walk to be held Huaynapicchu (Mountain from where you have a spectacular view of the valley of Machu Picchu) and the proper time is down to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and in the afternoon we board the train to Ollantaytambo and our staff will be waiting for you at the train station to transfer you to your hotel.

  • 5:30 a.m..   Uploaded by bus to Machu Picchu.
  • 6:00 a.m..   View of sunrise at Machu Picchu.
  • Guided Tour Machu Picchu (about 3 hours).
  • Walk Huaynapicchu (3 hours, without guide). (Optional)
  • Bus back to Aguas Calientes.
  • Lunch in Aguas Calientes.
  • Return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (De 19: 00hrs – 20: 40hrs)
  • Transfer from the train station to your hotel in Cusco.
  • Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.

Fifth day: Tour to Maras, Moray and Salt.

After breakfast we will go through your hotel at 8:45 hrs hours.   in our mobility, to go to the town of Maras through the route with very colorful landscapes and typical populations, first visit Moray, considered an Inca agricultural research center where experiments were conducted crop at different heights, the provision of their platforms produces a gradient of microclimates taking the center of the concentric circular terraces higher temperature and gradually decreasing outwards at lower temperatures, thus being able to simulate up to 20 different microclimates.   It is believed that Moray could have served as a model for the calculation of agricultural production not only the Urubamba Valley but also from different parts of Tahuantinsuyo.   Continuing our journey will visit the famous salt mines of Maras known by some as “salt mines” are constituted by about 3000 small wells, built on the side of the slope of the mountain “Qaqawiñay” during the dry season are filled or “water” every 3 days with salt water that comes from a natural spring located at the top of the wells so that the water evaporates, the salt contained in it will gradually solidify.   The pools are owned by the locals.

  • Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.

Sixth day: Guided Tour route in Cusco – Puno: Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, Sicuani, La Raya and Pucara.

After breakfast you will be given the hotel transfer to the bus station to Puno.   We begin our visit to Andahuaylillas, which for their valuable works, is considered as the Sistine Chapel of America.   Then visit Racchi, where is located the “Temple of God Wiracocha”.   We will have lunch at a restaurant in the area.   Then we will stop at La Raya, the highest point of the route;   there you can take great pictures.   Our next destination is Pucara, where we will visit the Lithic Museum.   This museum lets dive into the history and evolution of the Andean man from primitive times.   After Pucara the route will be through high Andean plates under an unreal clarity and finally be arriving to the city of Puno, on the site will be waiting for our staff to provide the shuttle to your hotel.

  • Transfer from the hotel to the bus from Cusco to Puno.
  • Guided tour on the route del Sol (Cusco to Puno) (6:40 hrs. – 17:30 hrs).
  • Overnight at hotel in Puno.

Seventh day: Tour to Lake Titicaca, Uros Islands and Taquile.

After taking breakfast at the hotel will be transferred to the port of Puno where they embarked on the boat, you will visit the floating islands of the Uros, considered as artificial or floating islands for 45 minutes, we will continue our visit to the Isla Taquile of outstanding natural beauty, ethnic, cultural and archaeological.   At 5:30 p.m. we will be returning to the hotel.

  • Tour on Lake Titicaca Uros Islands and Taquile.
  • Overnight at hotel in Puno.

Eighth day: Transfer from hotel in Puno and Juliaca Airport flight from Juliaca to Lima.

In due time, our staff apersonará the hotel for the visit to Sillustani then be transferred to the airport in Juliaca, where you will board the flight to Lima. Thus ending our services.

  • Tour to Sillustani.
  • Transfer from the hotel in Puno to the airport in Juliaca (one hour).
  • Travel by plane from Juliaca to Lima (1 hour).
