Tipon
The terraces that are here are awesome, contain 12 terraces very fertile land and are still grown, their retaining walls are made of well cut stones. Even more impressive is the irrigation system still serving agriculture, built using the existence of a manante water on site, with carved stone and very precisely calculated sometimes with almost vertical drops which together constitute a work channels masterpiece of hydraulic engineering; meanwhile there are some sources that should answer ceremonial purposes.
Pikillaqta
Satellite city of the Wari Culture, shows an approximately 700 buildings, including kanchas, qolqas and homes. The city has a very harmonious and almost perfect geometrical design, divided into blocks with straight streets. Its buildings were 2 and even 3 floors, with high walls made of stone not worked with clay mortar walls of considerable thickness at the base and decreasing width upwards. Citadel which must have a population of about 10,000 people during its heyday.
Andahuaylillas, “the Sistine Chapel of America”.
The colonial church of Andahuaylillas, considered the “Sistine Chapel” of the Americas, the quality of the work of art to be found inside: mural painting, paintings, altarpieces, altars, etc. That church was built over some important Inkan building, possibly a “Waka” since the foundation of the church were made with carved andesites own religious architecture Quechua.
